Dr Zipes' fiction books are not dull. I have enjoyed them all. Bear's Promise was on my mind whether I was reading it or planning to read it later in the day.. The twists and turns of characters and events were very surprising. It was a compelling tale he told , and I shall be waiting for his next book.

Bear's Promise

After reading The Black Widows, the outstanding first book by Doug Zipes, I had to read his second novel. I picked it up one morning thinking I would read a few chapters and get on with my day. To my surprise, I was still reading in the afternoon up to the last word. I agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers who also couldn't put the book down. It's a well-written, fast paced, plot riveting novel with interesting and well-developed characters. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed.

This is an exciting thriller and Zipes' best novel yet. Includes details from WWII and previous Olympic game history that I was not aware of. Interesting and surprising plot with some twists and reversals at the end. Well worth reading...
